Beer & Board Games at Cafe & Co

Our second installment of games at Cafeteria & Co happened right during the Urbana Sweetcorn Festival. Cafe & Co was chock full of folks playing games, or just trying to escape the heat for a bit!

CUDO Plays @ Quad Day

Like past years, we had an official table at the University of Illinois Quad Day, where all student groups and community organizations set up to try and recruit students. This was our most successful Quad Day yet. More people than ever before had either heard of CUDO Plays, or had thought about designing their own game before. We also got over 140 email signups. Most importantly though, we totally ran out of our CUDO Plays game tokens we created as a freebie for the event. If you got one of our tokens, we hope you cherish it forever!

CUDO Plays Recommends

This week CUDO Plays recommends Hardback.

Hardback cards

This is a unique deck-building word game. As an aspiring 19th-century novelist, you work to pen your next masterpiece, earning prestige along the way. Specialize your deck in certain genres to exploit card combinations, and press your luck to draw extra cards — but make sure you can still string a word together! Players build a deck of letters with various powers and race to 60 fame points to win. A fascinating take on the deck-building genre.
