CUDO Plays Recommends

Since this is Black History Month, we at CUDO Plays would like to recommend a game from a black designer. Though there are very few game designers of color around, one prominent and prolific one is Canadian designer Eric Lang. He has worked on tons of big name games, but the one we’re recommending here is Blood Rage.

This is a game where warring viking clans battle for control over a single island that is slowly being consumed by Ragnarök, the end of the world. The miniatures are gorgeous, the card-based action system is simple but quite strategic, and the whole game is thematic and cutthroat. Fans of games like Kemet and Nexus Ops will find a lot to like in Blood Rage.
