Right after our normal Beer & Board games night, join the broader CUDO for their holiday party! Get to know the other parts of CUDO and play fun games and activities. This night is also the deadline for CUDO Plays teams to turn in a first draft of their rules. We hope you’ll turn in your draft then come party, but you’re welcome to turn your rules in by email as well. Of course rules will change a lot between now and Turn-In in February, but we want teams to get an early start. Facebook event

CUDO Plays Recommends

This week CUDO Plays recommends 7 Wonders Duel.

This is the two player version of the very popular game 7 Wonders. What’s different about this game is the players not drafting cards simultaneously from hands of cards, but from a display of face-down and face-up cards arranged at the start of a round. A player can take a card only if it’s not covered by any others, so timing comes into play as well as bonus moves that allow you to take a second card immediately. As in the original game, each card that you acquire can be built, discarded for coins, or used to construct a wonder. Players race to build wonders of the world and create the most thriving civilization. A deep but quick two player game that’s easy to recommend!
