We have over 10 signups already for CUDO Plays Season 4! We are so excited to see so many people in our community excited to make games. Lets take a look at whats going on in CUDO Plays:
CUDO Plays Academy + Stratton Academy of the Arts
We are excited to share a program that we are running in partnership with the Stratton Academy of the Arts called CUDO Plays Academy!
CUDO Plays Academy is a 13 lesson long program for some of the 3rd and 4th grade classes of Stratton that we’ve developed with a focus on creating and designing a board game.
We’ll be teaching them a few new games to be inspired by and guiding them through the process of brainstorming, prototyping and playtesting games of their own creation! We hope to spark the love of games into these young designers and inspire them to build and design their own board games.
If you think this program would be awesome at a school near you, let them know! We’ve loved this partnership with Stratton and would love to work with other schools to bring this program to more kids. We can be contacted from our About page or at firstname.lastname@example.org!
The pictures from the Community and Student Kickoffs have been uploaded to our Facebook page. Go check them out here and if you see yourself feel free to tag yourself!

CUDO Plays Recommends
This week the game we are recommending is Melee!
In Melee you want to be the first person to capture an opposing castle (at which point the game ends immediately) or to have the most land and gold at the end of the year. Money is tight, and gold is used in the game both to build new units and to attack. The more gold you have and spend on your troops, the more motivated they will be and the higher your probability of success. It’s a great quick game for 2-4 players and plays in about 20 minutes.
